My older truck didn't have a tire pressure sensor stock, so when I arrived at work with what looked like a flat I did some research and found this unit. I really have no complaints, it's accurate and reliable. I will be buying another for my 2020 Jetta because the tire pressure system on that car can't tell you the pressure it's at, it only tells you if it changed by a few psi.
The MK7.5 GTI here in North America gets the tire pressure monitor displayed on the main display. It doesn't show which tire has low pressure, just that "there is a problem". I was looking to tinker with my car and add on a system that shows the pressure for each tire, similar as the European version apparently has, but it would require an investment of several hundred dollars, tons of my time adding on an electronic module, wiring harness and programming. So I decided to give this solution a try and it does all I want it to do for a fraction of the money and it even shows temp/tire and battery voltage. After installing the 4 caps on my tires, it took a couple of minutes before pairing automatically and after that it was all working after switching on the ignition, without any issues or hiccups. I didn't take it for a drive yet to see if the signal from the sensors remains stable, but for now I'm loving this easy to install tire pressure monitor. It looks cool too!
